Hey, everyone! Today is the Valentine release at Taylored Expressions! I have a bunch of fun projects to share with you today created with the new products - including a few products that I designed for the release. I had so much fun creating and I hope that you are inspired to start crafting for Valentine's Day.
The new products for the Valentine release are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!
First up today is this pair of cards. Both cards featured the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set. I designed this set and it has a red rubber background stamp with solid hearts and a clear set that has pattern overlays, sentiments, and more to decorate the hearts.
For this card, I started by stamping the heart background in Sugar Cube ink of Toffee cardstock. I stamped the hearts again in Guava and Cherry Pop inks, added the pattern overlays with Sugar Cube ink, and cut them out with the coordinating Hearts a Plenty die. I popped up the patterned hearts over a few of the hearts on the background. The sentiment is from the Handlettered Love stamp set, embossed in white on Cherry Pop cardstock, and cut out with the coordinating Handlettered Love die. I layered a few additional die cuts to pop the sentiment up a bit on the card. A few white hearts from the Bits & Pieces - Hearts embellishments are sprinkled across the card front for a finishing touch.
I stenciled a heart background on this next card with the Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set with Guava and Cherry Pop inks and used the heart pattern overlays from the Hearts a Plenty on the hearts that coordinate in the stenciled design. This card also features a sentiment from the Handlettered Love stamp set (+ coordinating new dies) and it's showcased perfectly in the large heart in the center of the design.
This project is featured today over on the Taylored Expressions blog along with a video, so make sure to stop by there and check that out!
I love the new scalloped treat boxed that are available at Taylored Expressions. They come in a set of 12 pre-cut boxes in Cherry Pop, Pink Champagne, and Toffee cardstock. I stenciled hearts onto the boxes using the Mini Slim Swiss Hearts stencil and then assembled them.
The boxes have prepunched holes that you can thread ribbon or twine through to close up the box after you fill it with sweet treats or a small gift. I used white ribbon as my closure and then tied on a tag with burlap twine that I created with the Tag Team - Valentine stamp set.
It's so quick and easy to create a whole pile of tags with the Tag Team - Valentine stamp set and coordinating Tag Team dies. Here's a look at a few of them that I created! These tags are perfect to add to treat bags or boxes, to use on cards, and attach to wrapped gift.
I created a while pile of 3"x3" mini Valentine cards with a background that I created with the Half a Heart Layered Stencil set. I stenciled the design on Sugar Cube, Pink Champagne, and Toffee cardstock with pink and red inks for the first two layers. On the third layer I used a metallic paste mixed with gold glitter and the effect is so fun!
The background is cut out with a Stitched Square Stacklets die, layered onto a scalloped layer cut out with a Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets die, and added to a 3"x3" card base. There are envelopes for these cute cards available in the TE webstore!
The sentiments on the cards are from the new Pennant Parade - Valentine stamp set that I designed and I added a few hearts popped up next to the sentiment. The larger hearts are cut out from Cherry Pop cardstock with the Hearts a Plenty dies and the glittery hearts are cut out from glitter cardstock using the heart dies in the Banner Year - Love set.
