Hey, everyone! It's the second day of reveals for the Nature Lover release at The Greetery. Today, I have a few more projects to share with you using more of the new products.
All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on Wednesday, January 20th, 10AM ET at The Greetery.
(I am also sharing a post today with projects featuring new products for the a release at Taylored Expressions at 9AM CT- make sure to check it out!)
This first project includes a card and matching tags created with the Lovely Blossoms stamp set. I love the style of this poppy-esque flower so much! I kept it in the red tones for a romantic, Valentine's Day feel. One of my favorite ways to create with a set like this is to die cut and stamp all of the parts and pieces and then assemble them into projects. It's fun to layer the pieces together and push them around until they feel just right.
I also had created quite a pile of wood planks with the Shiplap Builder die using Betsy's technique she shares here. You saw the card I used these on for a background yesterday and both projects today also feature the shiplap cut into a heart shape using a Shapely Hearts die. I stamped the 'sent with love' sentiment onto the shiplap heart for this project and arranged the flower and leaves twined down the left side.
The background on both the card and tag are stenciled with the Berry Branch stencil using white ink on a light gray cardstock. It's a beautiful and subtle texture that allows the main images to shine. The tags are cut out with a tag punch board and I added a strip of the shiplap board along the bottom. The sentiments on the tags are from the Mini Boxwood Heart Stamp + Cut Combo set.
This card features the new BotaniCuts Forget-Me-Nots die collection. I painted and spattered the shades of color I wanted (periwinkle, green, yellow, and white) using liquid watercolor on watercolor cardstock and then cut the different parts and pieces for the flowers from them. Adding a double sided adhesive (like Stick-It or using a Xyron machine) to the back of your cardstock before you die cut the pieces will make putting the flowers together quick and easy!
The flowers are attached to a pretty leaf heart cut from white cardstock. You can create a pocket out of the heart, but I used it as an interactive element of the card. Each side of the heart opens in a gatefold style. I ran a piece of burlap twine behind the heart when I attached it to the card front so that I could tie the twine to hold the heart closed.
Inside the heart is a pretty surprise - another shiplap heart cut out with a Shapely Hearts die like the project above! I stamped the heart with a sentiment from the Love Song Sentiments stamp set and added more forget-me-not flowers around it.
There is a small tag slid onto the burlap twine on the outside of the card that is stamped with the 'with all my heart' sentiment from the Mini Boxwood Heart Stamp + Cut Combo set. The background of the card is created with the same Berry Branch stencil, this time with white ink on kraft cardstock.
