taylored expressions - social butterflies

Hey, everyone! There's a release happening at Taylored Expressions today for products that were exclusive to the Stamp Joy 2020 event last fall. I have a project to share that is created with the Social Butterflies Cling & Clear Combo set and coordinating dies that were used in the Friday class.

The new products that I am sharing today are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!

The Social Butterflies Cling & Clear Combo set includes a red rubber stamp set with several butterflies, sentiments, and more. The whimsical designs feature a distressed look that I really like. You can easily color the butterflies using the fill images in the included clear set. The fill images are designed to be imperfect and I like that too because it takes the stress out of having to line everything up just right!

I stamped several butterflies using Oreo ink and added the fills with Sweet Potato Pie, Guava, and Blue Raspberry inks. I cut the butterflies out using the coordinating dies with my trusty Sidekick machine.

The background on my card is created with the smaller rectangle stencil in the Masking Stencil - Scalloped Rectangles set. I used a sponge to apply the ink onto Toffee cardstock and then before I removed the mask, I also stenciled the Mini Slim - On the Dot stencil over the top with Sugar Cube ink. The effect is pretty subtle, but it adds a bit of extra texture to the card. I impressed one of the Diagonal Stitch Rectangle Stacklets in the scalloped rectangle and then added the butterflies using foam tape to pop them up a bit. The 'hello there' sentiment is stamped in Oreo ink.

This card will definitely be a happy hello for a friend to receive the in mail!
