Hey, everyone! There's a release happening at Taylored Expressions today for products that you could previously earn with purchases of $100 or more - now you can purchase these items! I have a projects to share with you today that I created with a few of these stencils and stamps: the Big Hello stamp set, the Simple Strips - Thanks stamp, and the Modern Mosaic Layered Stencil set.
The new products that I am sharing today are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!
(I am also sharing a post today with projects featuring new products for the Spring Fever release at The Greetery - make sure to check it out!)
This first card features one of the large 'hello' sentiments from the Big Hello stamp set. I inked up the stamps with my mini ink cubes to create a fun rainbow blend. From top to bottom the colors are Guava, Peaches 'n' Cream, Potato Chip, Mint Julep, Blue Raspberry, and Blueberry. I used my MISTI to stamp each impression and line each of them up on the card perfectly.
I added the word 'there' embossed in white on an Oreo cardstock strip next to complete the 'hello there' sentiment and scattered a rainbow of stars down the card in matching cardstock colors.
I didn't get a chance to use the Spring Spray stamp from the Easter release and so pulled that out to create this card that also features the new Simple Strips - Thanks stamp. I embossed the flower in white on watercolor cardstock and added color with liquid watercolors. I stamped the flower spray multiple times to create a coordinating background with Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock.
The sentiments from the Simple Strips - Thanks are embossed in white on watercolor cardstock, cut out with the coordinating Simple Strips die, and then I painted them with Toffee liquid watercolor. Where the sentiment is embossed, it resists the liquid watercolor. I finished things off with a few Bits & Pieces - Clear Drip Drops around the flower.
For this last card, I used the Modern Mosaic Layered Stencil set to create the background. Instead of using my blender brushes, I added color through the stencil with liquid watercolors. Using watercolors gives you a very different look that is flowy and imperfect. I used Lime Zest, Blue Raspberry, and Guava liquid watercolor with the different layers. To keep the colors from bleeding together too much, make sure each color is dry until you add another one over the top. You can let them air dry or use a heat tool to speed up the process.
The sentiment is created with letters from the Cap if Off Alpha die collection and a sentiment from the Simple Strips - Thanks stamp. I spelled out the word 'hey' and added 'girl, you are amazing' underneath. The sentiment strip is painted with Blue Raspberry liquid watercolor to coordinate with the background.
