For this first set of projects, I used the Open Scallop Circle die to create shaker elements. To create the shaker: die cut the frames (I cut mine from Cherry Pop cardstock), add window acetate over the frame opening, add foam sticky strips, add shaker filling (I used Bits & Pieces - Full of Heart and Snow Flurries sequins), and add a backing (my backing is Toffee cardstock stamped and stenciled with the Very Cherry Cling & Clear Combo set and stencil using Sugar Cube ink and then cut out with a Stitched Circle Stacklets die).
I added cherries and sentiments to the front of the shakers stamped with the Cherry on Top stamp set (+ coordinating dies). The sentiments are stamped on a Stitched Banner Stacklets die cut and I trimmed the banners a bit for the shorter sentiments by doing partial die cutting on the straight end of the banner. I lined the die up on the die cut where I wanted it to cut and then sent it through my die cut machine just over the part that I wanted to trim.
One of the shakers is added to a card front that is stamped with the Very Cherry Cling & Clear Combo set. I stamped the background of outline cherries with Oreo Ink and added color using the clear stamps in the set: Cherry Pop ink for the cherries and Peapod ink for the leaves. I also used the clear stamps to add color the cherry images from the Cherry on Top stamp set.
For the other two shakers, I attached burlap twine through one of the open scallops on each of the frames to create tags. There are going to be so cute attached to gifts!
I am in love with the pink and red on this set of cherry cards! The background from the Very Cherry Cling & Clear Combo set is stamped on Pink Champagne cardstock with Oreo ink, I added color using the clear stamps with Cherry Pop and Peapod ink, and then I stenciled the hearts with the Very Cherry stencil using Sugar Cube ink and my white blender brush. I cut out the backgrounds with a Stitched Rectangle Stacklets die and added them to Toffee card bases.
I stamped the sentiments onto Sugar Cube circles that are the center cutouts from the Open Scallop Circle die. The 'thanks 'cherry' much!' sentiment is a bit too long for the circle, so I cut the stamp apart to use it in two lines. You could also do selective inking, but I find that piecing the stamps back together later to stamp it in one line isn't too difficult to do. I stamped a few tiny pink hearts around the sentiment, added a cherry, and added it to the card front with foam squares to pop it up. The final touch is a few white Bits & Pieces - Hearts scattered down the side of each card.
This last set of mini cards is a bit of a bonus! One of the ways that I like to create is by just making a bunch of elements with the products I want to use and then piecing things together. I had lots of cherries, scalloped frames, and backgrounds left on my desk from creating the first two sets of projects. I cut a few card bases with the Bracket Notecard die from Cherry Pop Cardstock and added the scalloped frames to them with inserts cut from the stamped background.
I added a cherry, a stamped sentiment, and a few Bits & Pieces - Hearts embellishments to each one to finish off these cute mini cards! It will be great to add these to my stash and have available for adding to gifts or to use for writing a cheery note for a friend.
