the greetery - capturing summer day 2

Hey, everyone! It's the second day of reveals for the Capturing Summer release at The Greetery. Today, I have a few more projects to share with you using more of the new products featuring flowers, gardening, and being outdoors - more of my favorite summertime things!

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on Wednesday, July 14th, 10AM ET at The Greetery.

I put the Jumbo Jar dies to use again (this is the same jar I used on yesterday's firefly card) on this card featuring the Container Garden stamp set. I cut out the jar and added the flowers and foliage stamped inside. I added a bit of light blue ink blending on the sides of the jar to add a bit of definition and shading.

The top of the jar is tied with a bit of burlap twine and I added a few tiny rhinestones throughout the flowers for a touch of sparkle. I stamped the 'just for you' sentiment above the flowers with a dark brown ink.

The background of the card is created with the A Side of Greens die. I cut it twice from a dark green cardstock and added them onto the same color cardstock around the edges to create a great dimensional look. The jar is added to the card with foam squares to pop it up a bit for even more dimension!

This next card features the new BotaniCuts Geranium die collection. Geraniums remind me of my grandma's house and I recently just planted my first geraniums in my own garden this summer! I die cut the flowers from a burgundy cardstock, the leaves from a green cardstock, used blender brushes to add shading with coordinating ink colors and then assembled them. The tiny buds are trimmed with paper snips and paper pieced together. There are cuts on the die cuts that are the perfect guide for trimming out the buds.

I added the flowers and leaves into a pot cut out with the Pretty Pot dies.I cut out the pot from an orange cardstock and added blending with brown ink.

The card base is a mini slim size (3.5" x 6") made from kraft cardstock. I added a border to the bottom that is stamped with the Windowpane Background stamp so it looks like a tablecloth to set the flowers onto - just like on the firefly jar card that I shared with you yesterday. The 'with love' sentiment from the Curio Labels stamp set is stamped in dark brown ink.

This last card is a definite favorite! The new Curio collection includes dies to create all sorts of nature finds, dies to create a curio box, dies for labels and clips, and stamps to add labels and sentiments. It was so much fun to cut everything out from various colors of cardstock, add blending with inks, and put everything together. I recommend making a bunch of the nature items all at the same time so you have a pile of fun things to use on your projects!

I used the divided frame cut out from kraft cardstock on my card front. I cut the frame several times, added ink blending with a dark brown ink to the top layer, and stacked the layered together to pop it up on the card. It was fun to pick and choose the elements for each part of the frame from everything that I had created! The bugs are popped up with foam tape and the shells and leaves are attached right to the card front.

I stamped the sentiments with dark brown ink and cut them out using a few of the label dies. On two of the labels, I added die cut paper clips to the ends - aren't they so much fun? The labels are attached to the card with foam sticky strips.

I haven't decided yet who this card will go to... or maybe I will pop it into a frame to display it!
