Right away, I knew that I wanted to to monogram mug ornaments for my girls. I paired the items in the kit with the new Monogram Alphabet dies to personalize my stitched creations!
Tacy's mug ornament is cut out of the blue felt from the Candy Cane color story and I added the snowflake embroidery to it. I used all 6 strands of embroidery thread to stitch the design for a nice full look and then added a few white beads to add extra dimension and shine.
Isn't the whip cream on top just the cutest? I embellished it with white sequins and beads so it looks like it has a fun sugar sprinkle on it!
(Make sure you add all of your embellishments and embroidery before you stitch your ornaments together!)
I did Hana's ornament from the cute pink polka dot felt and added a green stripe. I love the cute little peppermint and holly leaves that you can stitch up to embellish the mugs and I had to add them to each of the girls ornaments!
I cut out the monograms and added the stitching details to them before I added them to the ornaments. You can stitch all of the accessories directly to the mugs, or add them with glue too. I used a hot glue gun to add the peppermint candies, holly leaves, and monograms to my ornaments.
I can't wait to give these to my girls. I haven't decided if these would be great to gift when we decorate the tree or I might attach them to their Christmas gifts for Christmas Eve!
The new dimensional cocoa mug is very fun! I cut out the mug from the red felt and added the tree embroidery detail to it. I love the embroidery options in the kit and it was easy to follow Lizzie's instructions to stitch them up. I used 6 strands again here and then added white beads around the design.
There's an option to add marshmallow in your cocoa (so cute!) and I also added a few sequins and beads scattered between them.
I had to add one of the cute peppermints and holly leaves to this mug too! I can't wait to hang this cute cocoa mug on my tree and it would be great to make up a bunch for gifts!
