taylored expressions - 13th birthday release!

Hey, everyone! Today is a new release for the 13th birthday celebration at Taylored Expressions! First of all, happy birthday Taylored Expressions and congratulations to Taylor on 13 years! In November, I'll have been a part of TE for 3 years. I have loved every minute and look forward to many many crafty years ahead! Today, I have projects to share that use the new products from the birthday release, including a few products that I designed: the Party Time Stamp & Stencil Combo set and coordinating dies.

The new products for the 13th Birthday release are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!

First up is a shaker card created with the new Celebrating You Cutting Plate die. I did a rainbow blend with my blender brushes on a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock using Lollipop, Candy Corn, Pineapple, Lime Zest, and Blue Raspberry inks and cut out the cutting plate from it. I backed the die cut with acetate, added sticky strips around the outside edges, and attached it to a piece of Toffee cardstock to create the shaker card. The shaker is filled with a bunch Bits & Pieces embellishments: clear drip drops, white rhinestones, iridescent rhinestones, and sparkly stars.

I added a few sentiment strips ('make a wish' and 'eat all the cake') to the front of the shaker that are stamped with the new Mini Strips - Birthday stamp using Sugar Cube ink on Blue Raspberry cardstock strips. A final, sparkly touch is a few stars scattered around the sentiment strips that I cut out from sliver glitter cardstock.

This next card is created with the products that I designed: the Party Time Stamp & Stencil Combo set and Party Time dies. It also was created as part of the TE 13th Birthday Challenge: Toffee & Rainbow. Taylor and I challenged each other to create a project using Toffee (my favorite) with a rainbow color palette (her favorite). I used the background stamp to stamp the hats in Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock and then added the hat patterns with the stencil using a rainbow blend of Lollipop, Candy Corn, Pineapple, Lime Zest, Blue Raspberry, and Jelly Donut inks. I added the hat tops and brims stenciled with Lollipop, Orange Zest, and Blue Raspberry - blending from bottom to top this time.

The confetti is stenciled with Sugar Cube ink with a layer of Moonstone glimmer paste over the top for a touch of sparkle. I cut out an individual hat to use with the sentiment that is stamped with the Fill in the Blank - Birthday Cling & Clear Combo set. Along the hat brim, I added a few of the new Tiny Diamonds in the Lollipop color for a fun touch.  The 'yay!' is stamped in Sugar Cube ink on a Stitched Banner Stacklets die cut and I added the individual party hat where the 'A' is missing. The 'it's your day!' from the clear stamps in the set is stamped underneath with Oreo ink.

**This project is featured today over on the Taylored Expressions blog along with a video showing how I created it. Make sure to check it out!

This last birthday card is created with the Piece of Cake die and coordinating Piece of Cake Additions stamp set. I cut out the cake layers from Lollipop, Candy Corn, and Blue Raspberry cardstock. The 'wishing you...' sentiment stamps on all of the cake layers at once and so I placed the pieces into one of the negative die cuts to stamp it. I also used a negative die cut to add the cake layers to my card front so that they were spaced perfectly!

The background of the card is stenciled with the Sprinkles Rotating Stencil using the same color inks as the cake plus Sugar Cube ink. I love the multicolored effect that you get with just one stencil (rotating it 90 degrees for each color layer!) I added Candy Corn Tiny Diamonds to the candles and silver glitter cardstock stars scattered around the cake to step up and finish off the card.

Make sure to take advantage of the promotion happening this week for the birthday celebration:
