taylored expressions - oh, what a day! kit

Hey, everyone! There's a new craft kit at Taylored Expressions and I am excited to share it with you! This cute kit features a bunch of critters and sentiments to create cards for many occasions throughout the year. I have a few projects to share today that I created with the kit elements.

This set of thank you cards features the bear holding flowers from the Occasional Critters stamp set in the kit. I stamped the images in Oreo ink, colored the bears with Copic markers, and added shading with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol. I set the bears into frames that are cut out with the Focal Frame die from a piece of Toffee cardstock that I painted with white acrylic paint and stamped with the Wood Plank Background stamp.

 

 

The card background is created with the Dotted Diamonds stencil with Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. I added the framed bears to the backgrounds with foam squares and stamped the 'thanks beary much' sentiment underneath with Oreo ink. The card bases are made from Candy Corn, Cookie Monster, and Pineapple cardstock and I added a few of the Bits & Pieces - Rainbow Rhinestones to the flower centers and sprinkled around the bear for a finishing touch.

I used the singing bird from the Occasional Critters stamp set in the kit on this set of mini cards. The birds are colored with Copic markers, shaded with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol, and cut out with the coordinating die. The mini cards are cut out with the Bracket Notecard die from Pineapple, Cookie Monster, and Candy Corn cardstock and I stenciled the Dotted Diamonds stencil onto the card fronts in ink colors to match the cardstock.

 

 

The frames are cut out with the Focal Frame die and set onto each of the mini cards horizontally. I stamped the 'just a note' sentiment into the frame opening and added the bird and music notes coming out of the frame next to the sentiment. A bit of twine tied in a bow at the top of the cards finished them off.
