Hey, everyone! There are new products debuting today at Taylored Expressions for the Stars & Stripes release! This patriotic collection of products is perfect for making cards and other projects to celebrate the 4th of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, to express gratitude to people serving in the military, and more. I have a few projects to share that I created to celebrate the red, white, & blue!

The products for the Stars & Stripes release are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!

I used the Happy 4th of July stamp and Foil It Acetate - Happy 4th of July panels to create 2 different shaker cards: one traditional style and one infinity style.

For the traditional shaker card, I used a Foil It Acetate - Happy 4th of July panel and foiled it with red, silver, and blue foil using my Minc machine. I love how easy it is to get a multicolored look but simply cutting your foil to cover the different areas of the design. I framed the foiled acetate with the largest Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 die cut from Blue Corn cardstock and added the frame to a Sugar Cube cardstock background that is impressed with the Rays Pierce & Cut Plate with foam sticky strips. The shaker is filled with Bits & Pieces - Clay Stars and Bits & Pieces - Sparkly Stars and I added more stars to the front of the shaker that are cut out with the Little Bits - Stars die from silver glitter cardstock.

For the infinity shaker card, I stamped the Happy 4th of July stamp with Sugar Cube ink onto Toffee cardstock and then used mini ink cubes to ink the 'happy' and 'July' with Cherry Pop and Blueberry inks. The layer of Sugar Cube ink helps the ink colors pop on the Toffee cardstock. I added a few of the silver glitter cardstock stars to the stamped panel and enclosed it in an A2 Infinity Shaker Panel along with Bits & Pieces - Clay Stars and Bits & Pieces - Stars & Sparkles.

This pair of cards is featured over on the Taylored Expressions blog today along with a video showing how I created them from start to finish. You can watch the video below:

This card celebrating the 4th of July features one of the new Foil It – Starstruck panels. I foiled the panel with Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil and used the stencils and clear stamps from the Starstruck Stamp, Stencil, & Clear Combo set to add stars with Cherry Pop and Mulled Wine inks, starbursts with Blueberry and Blue Corn inks, and stars stamped with Blue Corn ink.

Hnichols-starstruck-3-TE

I added the panel to a Blue Corn card base and framed it using a frame cut out with the A2 Thin Frame Cutting Plate die from Blue Corn cardstock. The ‘Happy 4th of July’ sentiment is from the new Land That I Love stamp set. It's stamped in Blue Corn ink, cut out with the coordinating die, and added over a circle that I cut out from the Starstruck panel using one of the circle dies from the Mini Slim Trifold Template + Dies - Circle set.
