taylored expressions - thank you in bloom kit
August 30, 2022
Hey, everyone! There's a new kit debuting today at Taylored Expressions that I designed! I have a trio of thank you cards to share with you that I created with the kit and the coordinating Foil it panels.
Here are the details about the Thank You in Bloom Cardmaking Kit:
- Thank You in Bloom Stamp & Stencil Combo set
- Awesome Blossoms Layering Stencil
- Awesome Blossoms die
- small pot of Rose Gold sequins
- A2 Envelope Pack (6 envelopes, 3 each of Toffee and Rose Water)
- Envelope Seal Pack (6 seals)
The Thank You in Bloom Cardmaking Kit is available to purchase right now in the Taylored Expressions webstore!
I have a video featured today over on the Taylored Expression blog featuring the cards that I created with the new kit. Watch below:
Here's a closer look at the projects that I created with the kit:
For this card, I foiled one of the Foil It - Thank You in Bloom panels with Silver Deco Foil and then used the stencils from the Thank You in Bloom Stamp & Stencil Combo set to add the floral elements around the 'thank you'. There are three stencils to add the flowers and leaves and I used Bitty Blender Brushes to apply then color: for the largest flowers I did Guava shaded with Cherry Pop, Mulled Wine for the flower center, and Avocado shaded with Olive for the leaves; for the daisy style flowers I did Lemon Meringue shaded with Candy Corn, Mocha for the flower centers, and Lime Zest for the leaves; for the tiny flowers I used Candy Corn.
I cut out the panel with the largest frame from the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate die and added the frame and frame insert together to a Toffee card base, popped up a bit with foam adhesive.
For this next card, I used the stamp to add the 'thank you' to an A2 Toffee cardstock panel with Oreo ink using the template to ensure that the sentiment was stamped in the right position to add the stenciled design around it. The flowers are stenciled using the same colors as the first card, with the exception of the tiny flowers that I stenciled with Sugar Cube ink. I also stenciled the larger flowers with the Awesome Blossoms Layering Stencil, cut them out with the coordinating die (it cuts out all of the stenciled flowers at one time!), and added them to the stenciled design, popped up with foam adhesive.
I framed the panel with the largest frame from the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate die cut out from Sugar Cube cardstock. The finishing touch is white Tiny Diamonds added to the centers of the little white flowers!
For the last card, I used one of the Foil It - Thank You in Bloom panels foiled with Silver Deco Foil and added my own arrangement of florals around it that I created with the Awesome Blossoms Layering Stencil and coordinating die. I arranged all of the flowers, used Press 'n' Seal to keep the design together, die cut the panel with the largest Stitched Rectangle Stacklets die, and then adhered the florals in place using foam adhesive. The panel is added to a Toffee card base and I added Rose Gold sequins scattered around the design for a touch of sparkle.
