taylored expressions - 14th birthday release!

Hey, everyone! It's the 14th Birthday Bash product release today at Taylored Expressions! There are so many great products that are a part of this release and I have lots of projects to share with you today!

First up is a trio of Mini Slim birthday cards created with the new Triple Slim Celebrate Layering Stencil set. I stenciled the birthday background designs onto the cardstock from the Toffee Triple Slim Paper Pack with Guava shaded with Cherry Pop, Blue Raspberry shaded with Tropical Punch, Lime Zest shaded with Peapod, and Sugar Cube inks - you'll notice that I used this color story throughout all of the projects that I created for this release!
The candle flames are stenciled with Pineapple shaded with Candy Corn inks and I added a layer of the Happy Medium - Iridescent Glitter over the Blue Raspberry stencil layer. Once everything was dry, I added splatters with Copic Opaque White ink and Chocolate Truffle liquid watercolor and cut the panels apart.
The sentiment for each card is created with the Bold Birthday die cut from Sugar Cube cardstock and sentiment strip from the Mini Strips - Birthday stamp (+ Mini Slim - Flags die). I added balloons to each card cut out with the Triple Slim Celebrate Balloons die collection from Guava, Blue Raspberry, and Lime Zest cardstock that have burlap twine strings.

I love this fun new stitching option that is debuting for this release! The Get Thready Sunburst Cutting Plate die cuts out stitching holes and lines to create a quick and fun stitched background for your cards. the design is stitched with embroidery floss and the four colors that I used are available to purchase in the Heather's Favorite Thread Collection. Pulling together the colors to stitch my project became the color inspiration for all of my projects!
I stitched up the starburst designs and then added Tiny Diamonds to the centers of the little impressed star bursts between the stitched designs. The sentiment is put together with the Get the Word Out - Happy stamp (+ coordinating Get the Word Out - Happy Shadow die) embossed in clear on Blue Raspberry cardstock and 'birthday' word embossed in white from the On Repeat - Birthday stamp (+ On Repeat die).
I am looking forward to more stitching options coming to TE in the future! This card was so fun to put together!

Next up are cards created with the Foil It Acetate - Big Birthday panels and Confetti Maker die (this die was originally part of the Celebrate You Kit last spring). I foiled the panels with Silver Deco Foil using my Minc machine. The card on the left is a shaker card filled with confetti cut out with the Confetti Maker die from Guava, Blue Raspberry, Lime Zest, and Sugar Cube cardstock. The background of the shaker is stamped with the Free Fall Background stamp with Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock and the shaker is framed with a Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 die cut out from Tropical Punch cardstock.
For the card on the right, I used the left over cardstock pieces that I cut out the Confetti Maker die from. I pieced them all together on the card background and then layered the foiled acetate panel and Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 Frame over the top!

Finally today is this card perfect for an anni-birth-ary - which is kind of what TE is celebrating: it's TE's birthday, but also anniversary at the same time! I added the sentiments from the Happy Anni-birth-ary stamp set around a cupcake that I stenciled with the Let Them Eat Cake Layering Stencil set. The cupcake is stenciled with Guava shaded with Cherry Pop, Blue Raspberry, and Tropical Punch inks. The Blue Raspberry also has a layer of Happy Medium - Iridescent Glitter over the top. I cut out the cupcake with the coordinating die and added extra Tiny Diamonds sprinkles to the top.
The design is framed with the polka dot frames from the Mix & Match - Drip & Dots Cutting Plate dies. I cut the frame out from Sugar Cube cardstock and sprinkled Tiny Diamonds throughout the design for a touch of extra color and sparkle.
