taylored expressions - stick & stamp mat + new stencils

Hey, everyone! There's a new release at Taylored Expressions that includes a new must have tool that is a crafty collaboration with Brutus Monroe! There are also new stencils and I have a few projects to share with you that I created with a few of them.

Here's look at the new must haves:

Check out the new TE Exclusive Stick & Stamp Mat that is perfect for holding your cardstock in place in your MISTI and holding your cardstock in place while you do ink blending. The Blending Buddy tools help protect your mat from ink and the cupcake scented Mat Mist is perfect for cleaning your mat.

These new products are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!

My first project is created with the new Mini Slim Swirly Roses stencil. The Stick & Stamp Mat held everything in place perfectly while I ink blended the stenciled background on both of the projects that I am sharing with you today!

I wanted the color to pop a bit more on the Toffee cardstock so I did a layer of Sugar Cube ink first over the whole stenciled design. Then, for the roses I used Cupcake, Guava, and Cherry Pop inks and the greenery in-between is done with Avocado and Olive inks. After adding splatters with Copic opaque white ink and Chocolate Truffle liquid watercolor, I cut out the background with the largest Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets die.

The sentiment is from The Inside Scoop - Wedding stamp set that I selectively inked to use just portion of it and emboss in gold on vellum. I cut out the sentiment with a Heart Stacklets die and added it to the background with a bit of sewing machine stitching. The tiny hearts are cut out using the smallest Heart Stacklets die from gold foil cardstock and are sprinkled along with Bits & Pieces - Pearl Drip Drops around the sentiment.

I played around with stenciling on a darker cardstock color for this next card that features the new Artisan Feathers stencil. First I stenciled the the design with Sugar Cube ink on Dried Fig cardstock. Then, I stenciled the design using Dried Fig, Avocado, and Olive inks. Splatters are added to the background again and then I die cut it with the the largest die from the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 die collection. The frame is added to a Toffee card base, popped up with a few additional die cuts, and then I inset the background into the frame opening, making sure to match up the design to the frame.

The 'hello' sentiment is stamped with the Get the Word Out - Hello stamp and cut out with the coordinating die using Dried Fig ink on Dried Fig cardstock. I layered the sentiment over a few leaves cut out with a Branch Out die and a Stitched Banner Stacklets die cut. A few Bits & Pieces - Silver Drip Drops are the finishing touch!
