taylored expressions - for her

Hey, everyone! There's a new release today at Taylored Expressions featuring products to celebrate the women in your life for Mother's Day and more! I have a bunch of projects to share with you today that I created with several of the new products.

First up is this pair of cards created with the new Boots & Blooms Layering Stencil set. The stencils create the watering can and boot images on an A2 piece of cardstock that you can cut out with the coordinating dies. I stenciled the flowers and boots with Pineapple, Candy Corn, Guava, and Cherry Pop inks with my Bitty Blender Brushes. The greenery is stenciled with Avocado and Olive inks and the watering can is stenciled with Oyster and Earl Gary inks.

The stenciled images are added to backgrounds that I created with the border from the He First Loved Us Stamp & Stencil Combo set from the Easter release. I stamped the greenery in Avocado and added the flowers with the stencil using Pineapple and Candy Corn inks.

The sentiments on each card are put together with the new Mix & Match - For Her stamp set and stamped with Nocturne Versafine Clair ink. I paired 'I love you' with 'Mom' for the watering can card and 'to my amazing' with 'friend' for the boot card. I sprinkled white tiny diamonds throughout the borders on the backgrounds for a finishing touch.

The flowers on this pair of cards might look familiar to you if you purchased the Thank You in Bloom Kit last summer. The Awesome Blossoms stencil creates a number of blossoms and greenery on a half A2 piece of cardstock that then can be cut out all at the same time with the coordinating die. I used just the blossoms for these Mini Slim cards added to stems stamped with the new Hold my Blooms stamp set.

The red blossoms are stenciled with Guava (shaded with Cherry Pop) and Mulled Wine inks and the yellow blossoms are stenciled with Pineapple (shaded with Candy Corn) and Mocha inks. The stems are stamped with Avocado ink.

The sentiments on the card are from the new Mini Strips - Floral stamp. I stamped them in Versamark ink, embossed them in white, cut them out with the Mini Strips - Asymmetrical die, and added them to the cards with Foam Sticky Strips.

This last set of cards was created with the Buds & Blossoms Stamp & Stencil Combo set. For the card backgrounds on Toffee cardstock: the stems are stamped with Mocha ink and then I stenciled the buds and blossoms with Guava (shaded with Cherry Pop), Candy Corn (shaded with Sweet Potato Pie), Sugar Cube, and Avocado (shaded with Olive).

For the die cut buds, I cut everything out of Toffee cardstock and then added the color to them with my Bitty Blender Brushes. I wanted them to have the same muted look as the colors stenciled on Toffee cardstock on the background. To color the little pieces, I added a bit of adhesive to my grid paper placement to hold the pieces in place while adding the color with my blender brushes.

The sentiments are from the Sentiment Staples stamp set, are embossed in white on Toffee cardstock, and cut out with the coordinating dies. I added a frame to each card cut out with  the Frame in Frame 3 die collection from Sugar cube cardstock.

A card design like this is perfect for so many different occasions and is perfect for adding to my card stash. Several of these cards bundles up would be a great gift idea!
