Hey, everyone! There's a new kit debuting today at Taylored Expressions! The Love Grows Here Cardmaking Kit is perfect for all of the plant people out there - or maybe if you don't have a green thumb, you'll enjoy creating plants that you don't have to water! I illustrated the Let Love Grow Layering Stencil & Clear Combo set (+ coordinating dies) in the kit and am excited to share a pair of cards with you today that I created with the kit and add-on options!
Here are the details about the Love Grows Here Cardmaking Kit:
- Let Love Grow Layering Stencil & Clear Combo set
- Let Love Grow die collection
- Shelf Control stamp set
- The Insiders – Love Grows Here panels
This first card includes all sorts of plants displayed on a pair of shelves! The stencils in the set allow you to create 6 different plants and 6 different pots at the same them and then cut them out with one pass through your die cut machine. Then, you can mix and match the designs however you want. I stenciled plant in three different color combinations: Kiwi + Peapod, Avocado + Olive, and Cilantro + Poblano Pepper. For the pots I did Toffee + Sweet Potato Pie, Sweet Potato Pie + Pumpkin, and Honey + Mocha (the patterns on these pots are stamped with the clear stamps in the kit).
Once, I had all of the plants and pots stenciled, stamped, and cut out, I mixed and matched them and adhered the plants into the pots. It's so much fun to have a whole bunch of cute plants to use on projects!
I cut out two shelves from a piece of Toffee cardstock that was stamped using the Knock on Wood Background stamp in Mocha ink. I also added ink blending to the edges of the shelves with Mocha ink. The background is Toffee cardstock that is embossed with the Dotted Diamonds embossing folder and I added that to an Olive card base. The finishing touch on this card is the sentiment from the Shelf Control stamp set that is stamped with Chocolate Truffle ink and cut out with the coordinating die.
For this card, I created an arrangement with a few of the plant accessories included in the die collection. I put one plant on a little stool that is cut out from the piece of Toffee cardstock stamped with the Knock on Wood Background stamp. This plant also features tiny flowers that I cut out of Honey cardstock with white tiny diamond centers. Another plant is hanging from the top of the background with the plant hanger that is cut out of Toffee cardstock. And the last plant is sitting on the 'floor' that is cut out with the shelf die from the Toffee cardstock stamped with the Knock on Wood Background stamp.
The Sugar Cube background is embossed with the Dotted Diamonds embossing folder and the 'peace, love, plants' sentiment from the Shelf Control stamp set is stamped with Chocolate Truffle ink and cut out with the coordinating die.
I have a video featured today over on the Taylored Expression blog featuring both of the cards that I created with the new Love Grows Here Cardmaking Kit. Watch below:
