Hey, everyone! There's a new release today at Taylored Expressions of new calendar crafting products! I have a couple calendars ideas that I created to share with you today using the new products.
The products for the Calendar release are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!
I combined the new 2024 Landscape Calendar with the Great Outdoors Stencil & Clear set to create this calendar. It's perfect for a more masculine look or for someone with loves the great outdoors - how cute would this be displayed in a cabin or camper?
I stenciled the scenes onto Toffee cardstock with Blueberry (shaded with Blue Corn), Honey (shaded with Sweet Potato Pie), Avocado (shaded with Olive), and Toffee (shaded with Mocha) inks. The scenes are cut out with the coordinating dies from the Circle Stacklets and Hexagon Stacklets die collections. I added a touch of shading with Mocha ink to the edges of each die cut piece and added splatters with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White ink and Chocolate Truffle liquid watercolor. The images from the clear stamp set are stamped into the scenes with Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.
The borders around the design are cut out using Circle Stacklets and Hexagon Stacklets die collections and impressed with the Ridged Circle and Ridges Hexagon Stacklets in Olive and Honey cardstock. I also cut out borders for the bottom of the calendar panels from Olive and Honey cardstock using the Decorative Borders die collection.
I stamped the trees from the Through the Woods stamp set using Avocado ink shaded with Olive ink at the bottom of the trees and then cut them out with the coordinating dies. The scenes and trees are added to the calendar panels with foam adhesive to pop them up.
The panels are displayed perfectly in the Walnut Wood Display Stand - I love how it turned out! Using the Great Outdoors stencil set that creates 4 images at once is a great way fill up all of the calendar panels quickly and easily! Just change the color combinations to reflect different seasons in the year!
Here's another calendar idea using the new Square Tear-off Calendars and Square Calendar Cards - Feisty! I also used the Square Tear-off Calendar Stacklets die collection and Decorative Borders die collection.
I colored the Big Grumpy images (the sentiments on the signs are laugh out loud funny!) for my calendar using OLO markers. Here's a list for what markers I used:
- Gray body: RG 3, RG 5
- Brown body: OR 7.4, OR 7.6
- Pink: R 0.2, R 0.3
- Gray nose: C-G 7, C-G 9
- Light gray (sign edge): C-G 0
- Sky: B2.0, B 2.2
- Grass: YG 2.1, YG 2.3
I splattered the calendar cards with Chocolate Truffle liquid watercolor and Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White ink. I masked off areas (eyes and signs) where I didn't want the platters to go with pieces Post-It note paper.
To frame the images, I impress them with a die from the Square Tear-off Calendar Stacklets die collection. I also cut out 2 of the smaller size square from Poppy Seed cardstock.
The base of my calendar is cut out from Toffee cardstock and I matched the size to the Landscape Calendar cards. Along the bottom and top of the cardstock, I impressed the circle border from the Decorative Borders die collection. The Poppy Seed squares are added to the panel as landing spots for the calendar and the calendar squares. The calendar is adhered directly to the square and I added magnets to the other square and to the back of the calendar cards so that the can be swapped out from month to month!
Right now, while supplies last, we've put together a bundle of new calendar items that you can purchase with just one click!
