taylored expressions - wreathed in joy kit!
July 25, 2023
Hey, everyone! There's a new kit debuting today at Taylored Expressions that I designed! The Wreathed in Joy Cardmaking Kit is perfect for kicking off your holiday card making and I think you'll love the unique concept that enables you to create lots of elements at one time to use on your projects. I have several projects to share with you day that I created with the kit, along with a video sharing a closer look at the kit, add-on options, and the projects that I created.
Here are the details about the Wreathed in Joy Cardmaking Kit:
- Wreathed in Joy Stamp & Stencil Combo set
- Wreathed in Joy die collection
- The Insiders – Wreathed in Joy panels
The Wreathed in Joy Cardmaking Kit is available to purchase right now in the Taylored Expressions webstore!
The stamp from the Wreathed in Joy Stamp & Stencil Combo set creates the base for two sizes of wreaths, stems for various sprigs, and the letters 'J' and 'Y' for using the wreath to spell out the word 'joy'. I used Chocolate Truffle ink to stamp on a piece of 6" x 6" Sugar Cube cardstock and then used the coordinating stencils to add the greenery and berries using Peapod (shaded with Cilantro), Sweet Basil (shaded with Olive), and Cherry Pop (shaded with Mulled Wine) inks. Everything is cut out with the coordinating dies that you will be able to arrange and send through your die cut machine in one pass if you want. I stamped and stenciled 4 panels and ended up with a plenty to create several cards and tags!
The background on all of my projects are stamped with the Vintage Sprigs Background stamp using Toffee ink on Toffee cardstock. The backgrounds are cut down with one of the A2 Layer Stacklets dies and I added a Toffee cardstock frame that is cut out with a die from the Frame in Frame 3 Cutting Plate die collection.
I added the 'J' and 'Y' on either side of the smaller wreath for the horizontal card design and added sentiments to all of the cards with the Fly Your Flag 2 die collection that features a dimensional banner strip designed to fit over the top of the wreath. All of the panels are added to Olive card bases and the cards are finished off with a few of the little sprigs.
I took a few of the larger wreaths, added the banner sentiments, and turned them into tags. At the top of the wreath I punched a 1/8" hole, added an eyelet, and added twine so they are ready for adding onto holiday gifts!
I have a video featured today over on the Taylored Expression blog featuring both of the cards that I created with the new Wreathed in Joy Cardmaking Kit. Watch below:
