Hnichols-halloween2023-TE

Hey, everyone! There's a new release today at Taylored Expressions for Halloween! I designed several new products for this release and I have projects to share that I created with them and also with other products from the Halloween release.

The products for the Halloween release are available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!

This fun group of cards and tags are created with the If You Dare Stamp & Stencil Combo set, If You Dare Cutting Plate die, and Potion Bottle Die & Clear Combo set that I designed! The products feature potion bottles in lots of shapes and sizes and they are so much fun for spooky, fun Halloween cards and tags.

This card is created with the If You Dare Stamp & Stencil Combo set. The background stamp is the potion bottle outlines that is stamped in Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock. I added the details with the stencils in the set including the corks, potion bottle fills, and the fun magical details in the background. The corks are stenciled with Toffee ink and then the remaining layers are stenciled with Candy Corn (shaded with Pumpkin), Kiwi (shaded with Dill Pickle), and Dragonfruit (shaded with Passion Fruit) inks. I added Happy Medium - Iridescent Glitter over the Kiwi layer to add a touch of sparkle to several of the potion bottles. Splatters are added with Chocolate Truffle liquid watercolor and Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White ink.

The stenciled panel is framed with a Black Licorice cardstock frame from the A2 Thin Frame Cutting Plate die and I embossed the 'happy Halloween' sentiment from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set in white on Black Licorice cardstock, cut it out with the coordinating die, and added it to the panel. The finishing touch on the card is a few stars cut out from silver glitter cardstock sprinkled around the sentiment.

The Potion Bottle Die & Clear Combo set creates a larger potion bottle that works great for a card front or for tags! I cut out the potion bottles from Dragonfruit, Kiwi, and Candy Corn cardstock, cutting out one solid layer and one layer with the frame insert to create a shaker. I added shading to the bottom portion of each of the bottles: Passion Fruit on the Dragonfruit bottle, Dill Pickle on the Kiwi bottle, and Pumpkin on the Candy Corn bottle. The corks are cut out from Toffee cardstock.

The frames are backed with window acetate and I adheres the frame piece to the base with foam sticky strips to create the shaker. I filled the shakers with eyeballs, bones, stars, and Snow Flurries sequins. The eyeballs, bones, and stars are included with the Potion Bottle set. You need to assemble the eyeballs and add the veins with a stamp from the clear stamp set.

The tags are cut out of Sugar cube cardstock and stamped with Halloween sentiments included in the clear stamp set using Nocturne Versafine ink. I tied the tags to the bottles with burlap twine and added a hole at the tops of the bottles to add more twine for attaching the tags to Halloween treats.

For this last card, I stamped and stenciled potion bottles with the If You Dare Stamp & Stencil Combo set and cut them out with the If You Dare Cutting Plate die. I lined up several of the bottles on a background that is stamped with the Spiderweb background stamp using Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. I die cut the background out with a die from the Addition Mini Slim Layer Stacklets die collection and added it to a Black Licorice Mini Slim card base. I 'filled' the jars with some of the eyeballs, bones, and stars cut out with the Potion Bottle set. The 'boo to you!' sentiment from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set is embossed in white on Black Licorice cardstock and cut out with the coordinating die.

I have a video featured today over on the Taylored Expression blog featuring the projects above that I created with the If You Dare and Potion Bottle products. Watch below:

This card features the new All Together - Halloween stamp. I decided to color the images with OLO markers and so I stamped them in Oreo ink onto X-Press It Blending cardstock. Once I had everything colored, I cut them out all at once with the coordinating All Together - Halloween die. I used a glue pen to add Sugar Cube glitter to the images for extra sparkle!

Hnichols-alltogether-halloween-3-TE

I set the images into the circle openings of a Black Licorice cardstock panel that I die cut with the Big Circles Cutting Plate die. The die cut is stamped with the Spiderweb background stamp and I layered it onto a Toffee card base. All of the images are adhered with foam adhesive to pop them up a bit on the card. The sentiments are from the Exclamation Points Die & Clear set. I stamped 'eek!', 'yikes!, 'boo!', and 'creepy!' onto the Sugar Cube cardstock word balloons using Nocturne Versamark Clair ink and set them near several of the Halloween critters on the card. The finishing touch is a few silver glitter cardstock stars scattered throughout the design.
